Finding new happiness.

New house, new start. No more excuses. Now's the time to get happy! Not that I haven't been necessarily, but it feels like an opportunity to have a fresh start with many things in life. Joe got us gym passes....I despise the gym. However, I feel tired and out of shape. I NEED the gym and it will make me happier in the long run. Eating healthier, thanks to motivation from a dear friend, will make me happier and I'll feel better giving it to my kids. Now, here's the hard one: just being happy to be happy and letting the little things go. This may come as a shock, but I have little patience, anger quickly and am sometimes unreasonable. I know, I know....shocking. Maybe I need to force myself to relax a bit and let the little things go. All these new things in my life plus amazing friends and family should motivate me enough to do it! I know I can.....as long as there's coffee in the world, I can do this.

Weekend of Chaos

Moving went very well thanks to our friends and family that helped! This is why I purposely seek out friends with muscles or trucks. You strike gold when you find one with both! Super Joe is the King of moving and did a great job as well. Our first night here was pretty rough. The kids were a little crazy. I am sure we need time to settle in. The excitement level is very high right now!

Sappy note to my loved ones:
I feel very fortunate to have the amazing friends and family I do. Thank you everyone for pitching in some help on our moving day.

And now for freaking Super Bowl Sunday!!!!! Oh yeah, let's go 49ers!

Who says moving isn't a blast?

Everyone. Everyone says moving isn't a blast. Good thing the amazing guy I call Joe doesn't care whether it's a blast or not. It needs to be done, therefore, it gets done. Joe is called King of Moving in some cultures. In any event, Joe, with help from my family and a lot from our BIL Daren, we are 80% moved in! I'm 96% sure that 45% of that statistic is made up, but we are very close! I made the incredibly difficult decision to skip the dog show match (wahhh!) but spent 9 hours painting the girl's bathroom and our bedroom. I even got over my fear of climbing ladders! Well, not so much "got over my fear" as much as "anxiously painted while thinking of every way possible to die by ladder falls". But I did it! Zelda (the new kitty we inherited with the house) spent every minute with me while I painted. I think she's confused and missing her owner, but she'll be a lot happier when we are all moved in.

Finally! A way to document our day to day happenings...

Okay, so Facebook documents more than we ever want to know about our friends. I'm one of the worst offenders, too. At least here you came of your own free will and didn't have to see it in your newsfeed. So, it's all on you now.
In the coming weeks I will overload my new blog with house pictures and info! Yes, we will once again be home owners after 8 years. Not that moving every year isn't a total blast....
There's also news and secrets and diabolical plans I will need to reveal as the time comes. Well, maybe not as intriguing as I imply, but stay tuned for more news as the year continues. That is, as long as I keep going with this blog. We know how committed I am to...ya know....stuff.
